In short: Guanadreams CR is a locally owned, family-run private tour operator based in Playas del Coco (Sardinal de Carrillo), Guanacaste, Costa Rica, founded in 2014 by naturalist guide and wildlife photographer Miller Contreras and Karol Murillo Portilla. Every tour is private for your group, with hotel pickup along the Guanacaste coast. Our guides are certified by the ICT, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, and we operate with ICT and CTP permits. Most private day tours cost from $500 to $1,000 for a group of two, taxes and hotel pickup included. Every price we publish is below, in one place.

How our prices work
- Prices are for a private tour: your group only, never combined with strangers. Shared facilities, such as zipline lines or a national park, may have other visitors.
- Taxes and door-to-door hotel pickup are included. There is no card surcharge: the price you see is the price you pay.
- “Per private group of 2” is a minimum, not a cap. Larger groups pay less per guest.
- On our regular day tours, children under 3 go free, children aged 3 to 5 pay 50% of the adult price, and from age 6 the adult price applies. On the ATV & buggy, ziplining and jet ski tours, children pay the adult price, because they take a full place, the same as an adult. Boat charters are priced per boat, not per person, so children do not change the price.
- Tips are not included.
- Bookings made on WhatsApp or by email are confirmed with a 50% deposit, and the balance is charged to your card before your cancellation window closes: twenty-four hours before the start time on land, seventy-two hours for boat charters, birding days and La Fortuna or multi-day trips. You are welcome to pay 100% from the start if you prefer. You can pay by card through a secure payment link from Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, or by PayPal; only when the balance can’t be charged to a card do you pay it in cash on the day of the tour, at pickup. Private Liberia Airport (LIR) transfers
Price per vehicle, one way, door to door. “Northern beaches” covers the Papagayo Peninsula, the RIU resorts, Playa Panamá, Playa Hermosa, Playas del Coco and Ocotal; “southern beaches” covers Las Catalinas, Flamingo, Potrero, Conchal, Brasilito, Tamarindo and Hacienda Pinilla. Cancellation, in one place
- Day tours on land: free cancellation up to twenty-four hours before your start time.
- Jet ski: it joins the ATV & Buggy day, so it follows the same twenty-four-hour window as the ATV.
- Boat charters, birding days and La Fortuna or multi-day trips: free cancellation up to seventy-two hours before your start time.
- Peak dates (December 15 to January 15, Holy Week and Thanksgiving week): paid in full, with longer cancellation windows.
- If we cancel for safety (a storm, a closed river, the captain's call), you get a 100% refund.

Frequently asked questions
Most private day tours cost from $500 to $1,000 for a group of two, taxes and hotel pickup included, and larger groups pay less per guest. Boat charters start at $1,120 per boat and airport transfers at $95 per vehicle. Every price is in the tables above.
Your private air-conditioned vehicle with hotel pickup, entrance fees and taxes. On land you have your own bilingual naturalist guide; on the water, your own local captain and crew. Full days include lunch. Tips are not included.
Yes. Our guides are certified by the ICT, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. We operate with ICT and CTP permits, and every vehicle we use is insured with the INS, the national insurer of Costa Rica, including civil liability and third-party coverage.
