How close are the tours from Playas del Coco?
Here’s what most guests staying on this coast never find out: you’re sitting in the best-placed corner of the whole province. The boats leave from your own beach. The dry-forest trails start twenty minutes inland. The great bird river of the Tempisque is an hour away. And even the volcano and the cloud forest — the ones people think require moving hotels — are a comfortable day trip from your door.
You don’t have to choose between the beach and the country. From here you can have both in the same week, and still be back for sunset.
And here’s the part no other base can claim: this is home. We live in Playas del Coco — this is where Guanadreams is based, so pickups run on your schedule (usually around 7:30 a.m., later for the far trips like Arenal and Monteverde), and you get a guide who knows the shortcuts, the quiet corners and the spots that aren’t on any map. It’s also the most convenient corner of the coast to stay on: minutes from the beaches, close to Liberia’s airport, and with everything on hand — banks, ATMs, supermarkets, pharmacies and clinics — along one of the most developed stretches of the Guanacaste coast. Book three tours and the transfers are on us
If you book three tours with us, we collect you at the airport when you land and take you back when you leave. Both transfers included — not discounted, included.
Two conditions, and we would rather say them plainly than have you discover them later. The group has to be four people or more. And the group that rides in from the airport is the group that does the tours: if eight of you arrive in the van, the tours are for eight, not for four of the eight.
