Direct flights

Liberia receives direct flights from many major North American cities, especially in the high season (December–April). Airlines like United, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Air Canada, and WestJet operate seasonal and year-round routes. Always check current schedules, as routes shift seasonally.

What to Expect When You Land

The arrival flow is straightforward: immigration, baggage claim, customs, and then out through the doors to the pickup area. On a normal day it takes half an hour to forty-five minutes from wheels down to standing outside. When three international flights land within the same hour — which happens in high season — immigration can take longer, so build in a buffer if you have something scheduled.

A few practical things:

• Use authorised transport only. Drivers with credentials wear their company’s uniform and ID. Rideshare apps are unreliable at the terminal, and it’s worth having your ride arranged before you land.
• Car rental desks are inside the terminal, but reserve in advance — walking up in high season rarely ends well.
• The parking area is public and free, and it’s monitored, but don’t leave anything visible in a vehicle.
• Screenshot your hotel address and your transport confirmation before you land. Phone signal at the terminal is fine, but data roaming often isn’t.

Shared shuttles and official airport taxis are available and more economical than private transfers, though less flexible on timing and route.
