ATV ADVENTURE · GUANACASTE

ATV at Congo Trail

At Congo Trail, the whole ride happens inside a private, closed property in Sardinal — no public roads, no traffic, just trails winding through the forest. It's a short, easy 45-minute adventure built for the whole family: kids drive their own kid-sized ATVs while parents ride full-size quads, with a local guide alongside the group the entire way. Prefer a buggy? Some riders take one instead and roll out with everyone else. No license needed and no minimum age — because it all stays on safe, private ground. As you follow the trails through the transitional dry forest, the wildlife is all around you: howler monkeys calling overhead, white-faced capuchins in the canopy, iguanas basking, and birds everywhere. The landscape shifts with the seasons — dusty and golden in the dry months, lush and green when the rains come — but the ride stays family-friendly and traffic-free all year. It's one of the four activities in the Congo Trail Family Combo.
