The short version: we use the details you send us to plan and run your private tour, we use a few standard tools to understand how people use this website, and we never sell your information to anyone.

1. Who we are

Guanadreams CR is a family-run private tour operator based in Sardinal de Carrillo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This policy explains what information we collect through guanadreamscr.com and when you contact or book with us, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

2. Information you give us

When you write to us through a form on this website (such as Contact or Design Your Trip), by email or by WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to send. That usually includes:

your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number;
where you are staying, your travel dates, and the size and ages of your group;
the experiences you are interested in and any message you write;
details that help us plan a safe day, such as dietary needs or mobility and health notes you decide to share.

Please only share health details you want us to take into account. We use them for one purpose: planning a tour that is safe and comfortable for you.

3. Information collected automatically

When you browse this website, some standard information is collected automatically: the pages you visit, how long you stay, your type of device and browser, your approximate location (city or country), and how you found us (for example, a search engine or social media). We use these tools, which rely on cookies or similar technologies:

Google Analytics (Google): visitor statistics, so we know which pages are useful.
Meta Pixel (Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram): measures visits that come from Facebook and Instagram and how well our posts and ads work.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): anonymous heatmaps and session recordings that show how pages are used, so we can improve the design. Clarity masks sensitive content by default.
Google reCAPTCHA (Google): protects our forms from spam and abuse.

4. How we use your information

To answer your enquiry and prepare your quote.
To organize and run your tour: pickup, guide, timing and the places you will visit.
To send your confirmation and practical information before your day.
To understand how the website is used and improve it.
To keep the website and our forms secure.

We only contact you about your enquiry or booking. We do not add you to a mailing list without your permission.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share only what is needed, and only with:

The local partners who help deliver your tour, such as a private reserve, a boat or an activity operator. They receive what they need to host you, like your name, group size, date and pickup details.
The service providers that run our website and communications: website hosting, email and messaging services such as WhatsApp.
Payment providers, when you pay for a booking. You can pay through a secure payment link from Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, by PayPal, by card in person, or in cash before your cancellation window closes. Card and PayPal payments are processed by the bank and by PayPal under their own privacy policies; we do not take card payments on this website and we do not store your card details.
Authorities, only if the law requires it.

6. Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to plan and run your trip, and afterwards only as long as our accounting and legal obligations require. Website statistics are kept according to the settings of each tool above.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. These rights are recognized by Costa Rica’s personal data protection law (Law 8968), and we honor them for every guest, wherever you live.

9. Security

This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to your information is limited to our small team and the people who need it to run your tour. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

10. Children

Many of our guests travel as families, but we do not knowingly collect information online from children. When a group includes children, a parent or guardian gives us the details we need.

11. Where your information is stored

Some of the providers we use, such as Google, Meta, Microsoft and our website host, may store information on servers outside Costa Rica, including in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
